East Central Wisconsin Emergency Communications Incorporated (ECWEC) is a Wisconsin non-profit
corporation which holds and maintains assets for the use of Winnebago ARES/RACES. ECWEC was formed
by Winnebago ARES/RACES members in 2000 after the need for a separate legal entity to
fulfill this purpose was identified. ECWEC has no members, and is operated by a board of directors.
Currently, the board consists of Kevin Kiesow, KB9JNN; Nick Luther, K9NL; Greg Ramlow, KB9SZP;
Dan Lenz, KB9IME; and Carol Lenz, KB9WPH.
ECWEC will gladly accept donations to further the readiness of emergency communications support in Winnebago County, Wisconsin! See the contact information page to get in touch with us. ECWEC claims to be a 501(c)3 exempt organization, under the mandatory exception of 26 U.S.C. 508(c)(1)(B), and specifically claims to be a public charity. Because ECWEC claims under the $5,000 mandatory exception, it is not allowed to normally receive more than $5,000 in gross receipts in a single tax year. The ECWEC board may have to reject any large donations because of this status. |
